Join us for a guided, hands-on perfume experience where you’ll learn the art and alchemy of fragrance—and create a scent that’s entirely your own. Select from over 50 aromatic ingredients - top, middle, and base notes— to spark creativity and balance. You’ll learn perfume structure, experiment with blending, and bottle your custom creation to take home. Led by our fragrance specialist in our intimate back-of-shop perfume parlor, this class is perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike. Our small group setting is ideal for friends, birthday parties, team-building, or bridal events. Classes are held in our private perfume parlor—tucked in the back of the shop, where a former French Quarter apartment opens onto a petite, private courtyard. With space for no more than six guests per session, it's an intimate and immersive setting designed for scent, storytelling, and a little New Orleans magic.

Do I need any perfume experience?
Not at all. Our classes are designed for complete beginners as well as fragrance enthusiasts.

Is this a professional perfume-making class?
No—this is a fun, beginner-friendly fragrance experience designed for creativity, exploration, and personal enjoyment. While you’ll learn real perfume structure and blending techniques, the class is not intended as formal perfumery training or certification.

Will my perfume smell like a “real” perfume?
While your creation may not have the complexity of a commercial fragrance developed over months or years, most guests are pleasantly surprised by how wearable, beautiful, and personal their scents turn out.

How many people are in each session?
Our New Orleans classes – with no more than 6 guests - are intentionally small to keep the experience personal, interactive, and hands-on.

Is this class appropriate for couples?
Absolutely! Perfume-making makes a wonderfully unique date experience—creative, interactive, and a little romantic. Many couples enjoy blending fragrances inspired by each other or creating scents tied to a special memory together.

Can I make cologne in the class?
Absolutely. In the world of fragrance, it’s all technically “perfume”—the difference is simply the style and scent profile. We can guide guests toward masculine, neutral, or traditionally feminine fragrance directions, or help create something entirely personal and unique.

Will there be alcohol or refreshments?
We do not provide refreshments, but guests are welcome to bring water, coffee, soda, or other non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during class. Please note that we do not have public restrooms on site, so we recommend planning accordingly before arrival.

Can children attend?
Guests must be 18 or older to attend currently scheduled classes. For younger aspiring perfumers, we’re happy to arrange a private class experience, which must include a parent or adult chaperone.

Can I book a private class?

Can you bring the class to us?
In many cases, yes! We may be able to bring a customized perfume-making experience to your home, office, wedding event, or private gathering. Off-site classes are subject to availability, group size, and travel considerations—contact us to discuss options and pricing.
